Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

International Journal of Islamic Studies, Social Science, and Humanities (IJISSSH) is a self supporting organization and does not receive funding from any institution/government. Hence, the operation of the journal is solely financed by the processing fees received from authors. The processing fees are required to meet operations expenses such as employees, salaries, internet services, electricity etc. Being an Open Access Journal, IJISSSH does not receive payment for subscription as the journals are freely accessible over the internet. It costs money to produce a peer-reviewed, edited, and formatted article that is ready for online publication, and to host it on a server that is freely accessible without barriers around the clock. We ask that - as a small part of the cost of doing the research--the author, institution, or funding agency pays a modest fee to help cover the actual cost of the essential final step, the publication.

Author Withdrawal Policy
From time to time, an author wish to withdraw a manuscript after submitting it. Changing one's mind is an author's prerogative. And an author is free to withdraw an article at no charge - as long as it is withdrawn within a week of its original submission. After a week, there is a withdrawal fee. The reason for that? Once peer review is completed on that manuscript (which can often happen within a week), and it has been worked into a journal issue, we have incurred costs on our end that need to be reimbursed. The withdrawal fee is 85% of the original article processing fee. If you have concerns or questions about it, or we are late in paying, please contact us for further discussion. We welcome your input.

  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
